LinkedIn Feed Cleaner is a Chrome extension that hides sponsored posts and suggested content from your LinkedIn feed. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your rights as a user.
1. Data collected
LinkedIn Feed Cleaner collects the minimum data necessary to operate:
- Email address - provided voluntarily when activating a Premium subscription. Used solely to identify your account and link your subscription to your device. It is never used for marketing purposes.
- Device ID - a random identifier generated locally by the extension on install. Used to associate up to 2 devices with a single subscription.
- Usage data - the number of posts hidden per day, stored locally in your browser via
chrome.storage. This data never leaves your device.
2. Data NOT collected
- No browsing history
- No LinkedIn post content
- No personal profile information
- No analytics or tracking of any kind
- No cookies
3. How data is used
Your email address and device ID are stored in a private database solely to verify your Premium subscription status when the extension starts. No data is shared with third parties, sold, or used for advertising.
4. Payment processing
Payments are processed by Stripe. When you subscribe, your payment information (card number, billing address) is handled entirely by Stripe and never stored on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
5. Data storage
Your email and device ID are stored in a private Google Sheets database accessible only to the developer. Local usage data (post count) is stored in your browser's local storage and never transmitted.
6. Data retention
Your account data is retained as long as you have an active subscription. You may request deletion at any time by contacting support. Upon deletion, your email and device IDs are permanently removed from the database.
7. Your rights

8. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated occasionally. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
